Surge Protection

Power surges are impossible to predict, their causes such as abrupt voltage spikes, power supply faults, defective household appliances, and thunderstorms. In some circumstances, even a small power surge can wreak havoc on your electric systems, damaging them beyond repair.

The live cable or main power line at a surge protector includes an additional linked connection that feeds into an earth wire. An earth cable’s purpose would be to direct any additional current safely into the floor. The surge link from the protector stays inactive until a bigger than normal voltage seems. This extra current is then securely redirected through the excess earth wire, directly into the floor. This averts more current than normal from flowing into your appliances effectively ensuring that they are protected from any harm which can result from power surges.
